How To Calm Down

Amidst all the disruption going on in your life, you temporarily may not remember how to calm down. Calming down requires connecting with that part of you that already knows how to be calm. Set an intention to reconnect with your inner knowingness that knows how to calm down. Remind yourself that you have been under stress before and it passed.

To calm down, place your hands over your heart chakra. Close your eyes and take a long, slow, deep breath. Exhale the tense energy and breathe in calm energy. Remind yourself you already know how to calm down when under stress. Visualize ocean waves slowly going slowly in and out. Breathe in rhythm with the waves, Fill your body with calmness as the waves come and go. Breathe and reconnect with your inner peace. Slowly Say to yourself “I am at peace. All is well. I am calm.” Repeat this until you are ready to move on. Remind yourself you know how to calm down.
